Turbo-Charging Small Satellites Capabilities with Artificial Intelligence , Innovative Bus & Laser Communication System!
The AI-MotherBox-1 Satellite Mission is Phemotron Systems flagship innovative space platform. We are currently developing and aiming to launch the 12U small satellite (CubeSat) platform equipped with a high-performing AI Engine that can execute a multivariate task at superior high speeds than conventional CubeSats. The AI-MotherBox-1 is a powerful artificial intelligence system that is capable of learning and adapting to the dynamic space environment in the Low-Earth Orbit. It is also able to communicate with other CubeSats in formation, which will allow it to coordinate its activities with other satellites and ground-based systems, integrating and processing a large streams of datasets from diversified nodes. The mission is in the early phase of development, with potentials to revolutionize the way we interact with space, utilizing low-cost platforms to achieve huge mission returns. The mission will provide us with valuable insights on global air traffic safety, the Earth’s climate and environment, and a useful tool to respond to natural disasters and other emergencies.
Mission Objectives & Features
- Demonstration of a fully autonomous spacecraft operation
- Re-configurable on-board artificial intelligence engine; AI-Engine 1.0
- AI-powered satellite navigation and attitude management for a functional CubeSat formation/swarms’ operation
- Inter-satellite communications operation at X-band, fail-safe comms at UHF
- Featuring our “OptoX Engine” a versatile, cross-platforms and functional high-throughput (10Gbps) laser communication data downlink capability

Introducing our all new "Concurrent Design Chest (CDC)"!
Phemotron Systems has developed and currently validating our new online-based “Concurrent Design Chest” CDC using the AI-MotherBox-1 space mission! The CDC is a new morph of the traditional Concurrent Design Facility (CDF) commonly used for space mission design, analysis and management. The CDF, as a result of its architecture, is becoming outdated and very limited in today’s collaborative design practices. The COVID-19 pandemic-enforced lockdowns and remote working practices around the world also vividly expose the problems of physically assembling the entire team of a space mission project at all the stages of the development life cycle; from project commisioning to disposal. The CDC offers numerous advantages, unleashing the power of modern secured databases and web technologies to provide a seamless exchange of multi-party, simultaneous and real-time collaborative data, integrating numerous engineering, scientific tools, CAD, CAM, MATLAB, and many others. The CDC system is a fully customizable ecosystem, allowing a project manager to assume full control of secured information, appointed personnel, processes and executions.
